If you’re like a lot of people, you tend to swipe miniature toiletry bottles and soap from a hotel you’ve been staying at.
But then what happens to them once they get home?
Typically, they wind up gathering dust in a basket.
But as Julie Lalonde recently pointed out on Twitter, homeless shelters and similar organizations are always in need of toiletries–so you should donate them accordingly.
One thing, though: The bottles and soaps need to be unused and unopened, because as Lifehacker puts it, “There’s no such thing as gently used soap.”
