Tennessee Town Tries to Break World Record with 4,000 Scarecrows

Gatlinburg, Tennessee is hoping to be a Guinness World Recordholder, according to UPI.

The city has organized 4,000 scarecrows throughout the city in an effort to break the record for most scarecrows in one area.

The current record of 3,812 happened in an English town in 2014.

“This year we decided we would amp up our scarecrow presence and really just go for the world record,” said the Gatlinburg public relations manager. A film crew will arrive in the city on Monday to count the total number of scarecrows.
