Simone Biles became the most decorated female gymnast in history on Tuesday at the world gymnastics championships in Stuttgart, Germany.
As CNN reports, 22-year-old Biles broke the record by winning her 21st medal ever. That medal was earned when her USA Gymnastics team won gold, making it their fifth consecutive world team title.
What’s more is Biles could still win additional medals this week.
She’ll compete in the Women’s All-Around Final on Thursday and then compete in four individual event finals over the weekend. Nevertheless, Biles told The New York Times, “Every year it feels better and better just because we’re adding to the legacy. I feel like I never think of records. I just go out there and do what I came to do, which is compete for the country.”
