Kill Fleas on Your Dog With Dish Soap

Even if you’re super careful, your dog could still end up infested with fleas. Luckily, Lifehacker says there’s an easy and convenient way for you to get rid of them using something you already have in your home: dish soap.

Just lather up your pooch as you always do, but instead of using dog shampoo, try dish soap.

The soap destroys the insect’s exoskeletons and drowns them within minutes.

If you combine this treatment with a flea comb, you and your dog will eventually be flea-free.

The outlet recommends that you wash your dog after this treatment with regular dog shampoo to keep their skin from drying out. And remember, dish soap won’t prevent fleas, so you’ll still have to continue to monitor your dog’s coat.
