WarnerMedia is doing an internal investigation on The Ellen DeGeneres Show because of staffer complaints.
A memo to staffers mentioned recent articles as the motivation for the investigation.
Buzzfeed’s recent report cited several former staffers who called the show a “toxic work environment.” Some of the claims made included racial microaggressions, fear of retaliation and penalties for going on medical leave.
Executive producers for the show Ed Glavin, Mary Connelly, and Andy Lassner “We are truly heartbroken and sorry to learn that even one person in our production family has had a negative experience.”
Ellen DeGeneres, who has yet to comment.
