Billy Joel has made good on his promise to treat a superfan to free tickets to his show.
Page Six reports that back in August, Geoff Epstein attended his 100th “Piano Man” performance while holding up a sign a Madison Square Garden that read, “This is my 100th show.”
The 70-year-old Joel saw the sign and told Epstein, “Next show is on me.”
Now Epstein says he received “four tickets and backstage passes” to Joel’s most recent MSG show. “It was very generous,” he adds. “I’ve been a fan for over 40 years.” Epstein also says he’s “realistically spent between $25,000 and $50,000” seeing Joel over the years.
