“Billboard’s Best Songs Of 1969

In honor of the 50th anniversary of Woodstock, which is this weekend, “Billboard” has come out with their staff’s picks of the best songs of 1969, and some of the choices may surprise you.

Topping the list is The Zombies “Time of the Season,” which peaked at number three on the “Billboard” Hot 100. The mag calls the tune, “an enduring, idiosyncratic classic that has come to be one of the defining songs of the era — even if the world didn’t catch on so quickly.”
