Music & Entertainment News – Wednesday 5/17/17

Lifetime’s Michael Jackson bio-pic debuts on Memorial Day (May 29th). And you can now get a sneak peek.

Passport Radio has posted the first trailer from Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland here for your review and approval.

Its stars Navi, a Jackson impersonator who claims he was on the Gloved One’s payroll for 17 years working as a decoy.

A native of Trinidad, who speaks in a proper British accent when he’s not in character, Navi has undergone several plastic surgeries to reshape his face to more closely resemble Michael.

The film is based on Remember the Time, the 2014 book by longtime Jackson bodyguards Bill Whitfield and Javon Beard — and focuses on the final few years of Michael’s life.

Bill Whitfield explains his objective in writing the Michael Jackson biography Remember the Time saying  “We directed this book to many of his fans we believe that wanted to to know him on the personal side — outside of the King of Pop and everything that they’ve heard and seen in the tabloids. We were there and we was able to witness, who he generally was.”

Navi doesn’t sing — he lip-syncs Jackson records in his act and admits he’s no longer in touch with the Jackson family.
