Queen’s tour with Adam Lambert ended Saturday in Houston, and Brian May shared on his website, “It is DONE !!! Thank you HOUSTON, the Cosmic City !!! Sting will join The Florida Orchestra at its 50th anniversary gala concert on December 9th at the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg, Florida. Proceeds will benefit the orchestra’s community and education programs.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Lloyd Price — best known for “Stagger Lee” and “Personality” — will release the album This Is Rock and Roll on September 22nd. Selections include Carole King’s “Will You Love Me Tomorrow” and a pair of Fats Domino classics: “I’m Walkin'” and “Blueberry Hill.”

Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell will receive the Oh Yeah Legend Award, which recognizes the exceptional contributions of a musician or music industry figure from Northern Ireland. The ceremony is November 11th in Belfast.

Bruce Springsteen will try to release one live album through his archive program on the first Friday of each month. So far, 25 shows have been identified and approved.

Carmine Appice [pr: uh-PEECE] of Vanilla Fudge, Cactus and Rod Stewart’s band had teamed with his brother and fellow drummer Vinny Appice [pr: APP-puh-cee] of Dio and Black Sabbath on their first joint album. Sinister will be out on October 27th.

This year’s 45th annual American Music Awards will take place Sunday, November 19th and be telecast live on ABC. The press release did not mention a city or venue for the show, though it’s been held at the Microsoft (previously Nokia) Theater in L.A. since it opened a decade ago.
