Anderson County Featured on State Plate Show

March 12 @ 11:30 pm - March 13 @ 12:00 am

Video and interviews shot during the Anderson County Burgoo Festival will be part of the episode on Kentucky food that will be shown on the INSP television show State Plate when it airs on Monday, March 12.
Host and American Idol winner Taylor Hicks spent the day in Lawrenceburg to spotlight burgoo as one of Kentucky’s iconic foods.  Hicks interviewed local resident Davy Warford as he cooked a pot of burgoo on the Lawrenceburg green. He also talked on camera with several other people at the festival.  While in Lawrenceburg, Hicks met up with members of the Stringtown bluegrass band to cook spoon bread and play some music with the band.
State Plate is in its second season.  As host, Hicks is traveling across the country, making stops in each state to sample and talk about some most of the most popular foods you can find from coast to coast.  While in Kentucky, the State Plate crew took time to feature Benedictine spread, the Kentucky hot brown, burgoo, spoon bread, and bourbon balls.
The episode on Kentucky will air on Monday, March 12 at 7:30 p.m. on the INSP network
